High data transfer rates on copper and fiber cabling of up to 10 Gbit/s Ethernet, along with new Power over Ethernet (PoE) applications up to 90 W, are creating new challenges in structured cabling environments.

The NetXpert XG2-PLUS network tester provides comprehensive active and passive network testing up to 10 Gbit/s for qualification, commissioning, and troubleshooting on copper and fiber cabling.

With the largest touch display in its class, the NetXpert XG2-PLUS ensures ease of use and clear presentation of results. At the same time, it delivers highly reliable measurement results through a unique combination of up to four different test methods for evaluating copper links.

For fiber optic cabling, the NetXpert XG2-PLUS includes:

• Attenuation testing 

• Bit error rate testing (BERT) 

• LiveLight™ attenuation trend analysis 

An optional video microscope can be connected for inspecting fiber connectors and ensuring optimal performance.

 

The NetXpert XG2 and XG2-PLUS qualify twisted pair cabling from 1 to 10 Gbit/s Ethernet. With their unique combination of four measurement methods, these devices verify whether cabling can reliably transmit Ethernet data up to 10 Gbit/s without errors.

The NetXpert XG2 is available starting from 1 Gbit/s and can be upgraded to 10 Gbit/s.

The NetXpert XG2-PLUS is fully equipped to qualify fiber optic cabling up to 10 Gbit/s, making it a comprehensive solution for modern network environments.
