What's new in version 7.4

WireXpert Firmware

  • TIA MPTL (Modular Plug Terminated Link) limits. This new cabling variant has been defined by TIA to support the direct connection of devices such as cameras or access points to an data cable without using an additional patch cable.  This cabling configuration features a socket on one side and a plug on the other side of the link.  In order to test these configurations properly, new limits and testing configurations have been created by TIA and added to WireXpert.
  • The TIA committee standards, copper/fiber limits, and application standards have been updated, and these standards have now been implemented in firmware version 7.4.  Update your firmware so you are certifying to the most current global standards
  • New 3 around 1 mode for copper.  If you have four WireXpert's, you can turn three WireXperts into remotes, leave one WireXpert as the local, and drastically improve certification efficiency as the three remote certifiers are on the move
  • New manufacturer cables and connector brands have been added to your WireXpert to speed setup
  • New option for fiber to only test for network limits
  • Wiremap graphic updated
  • Improved headset audio quality
  • Improvied battery performance

eXport Software

  • Added ability to import Fluke .flw files.  Our new WireXpert customers, and customers in transition, sometimes need to manage old reports
  • New sample project file gives you a head start with a template
  • Improved report layout for WireXpert and FiberXpert
